1. While making batter for pakoras, add a little rice flour to it, pakoras will become more crispy.

3. While preparing rice, add one teaspoon of ghee or oil and a few drops of lemon juice to its water; this will make the rice blossom and completely white.

4. To increase the taste of any gravy, add half a teaspoon of sugar to it while roasting the onions. The sugar caramelizes the gravy and gives it a beautiful colour.
5. After rolling the puri's. keep them in the fridge for 10 minutes before frying, so that they will not absorb too much oil while frying.
6. While roasting semolina for halwa or sheera, add half a teaspoon gram flour to it. this will double the halwa taste.
7. To make perfect French fries, cut the potatoes and boil them in water for 2-3 minutes. Remove them from the hot water and place them on a kitchen napkin or tissue paper, so that all their water dries up. Now dust them with cornflour and lock it in a zip lock bag or airtight compartment and keep it in the freezer. Remove and fry immediately whenever you wish.
